"Teen Money 101" Will Showcase on Channel 7 ABC's "Here and Now" This Sunday 

 "Teen Money 101," a money management book for teens by Stacia Morris, will be featured this Sunday on ABC's "Here and Now." Morris, founder of Your Money TREK (Training Resources and Empowerment Keys), a Connecticut based education business, writes and teaches teens and adults how to handle finances in practical and applicable ways.

Your Money TREK (YMT) invited a teen, Elveret, who went through our financial literacy program at the George Washington Carver Center in Norwalk, CT, to appear on the show with us. The Carver Center has strongly supported YMT's financial literacy programs and Novelette Peterkin, Executive Director, exposes teens to many opportunities they might  not otherwise experience. We love the Carver Center - their teens and programs.

So, this is an exciting opportunity for my sister and author.  I hope we make her proud when she watches this Sunday.  The interview went by really fast.  I can hardly remember what we said, but those who attended the taping said it went well, so we shall see.

Our host, Lori Stokes, was lovely and great with Elveret. He did a wonderful job - sky's the limit for him.

Kudos to Senior ABC Producer, Tracey Bagley, and her assistant, Gayland Garcia.  They were on the ball in all pre-taping details and we all had a great experience.

Oh, one nice thing that happened, we ran into some folks from our church while we were there. They were also interviewed on the same show that day.  That part was a treat, especially for Elveret - I'll let you all figure it out…and yes, I believe he got a picture with him.
